About the Blue Incense Grains

Built on olibanum siftings from African Boswellia papyrifera, the same resin behind the classical liturgical incenses, sourced from Eritrea, Ethiopia and Sudan. The fragments are washed in perfume oils to deepen and round the scent, then coloured with EU-approved cosmetic-grade blue pigments. Grain size runs 1.5 to 3.5 mm.

A note on the grain size

Somewhere between 1.5 to 3.5mm, these are noticeably smaller than standard resin grains. They light faster, burn more evenly and need less surface area on a charcoal disc to release their full scent. Worth mentioning to first time customers who often overload charcoals with bigger grains.
