Orgonite Spheres
Orgonite spheres are made from casting resin with metal filings, crushed gemstone set inside & then polished. The resin catches the light and the metal glints through it which is why it is visually appealing. Spheres photograph well and hold a shelf better than flat pieces, so they tend to sell faster in shops with a visual display.
About these products
Cast resin with copper or aluminium filings and stone chips throughout. Available across a range of sizes and stones: green aventurine, carnelian, sunstone, black tourmaline, lapis lazuli, amethyst, clear quartz, citrine, moonstone, selenite, red jasper and turquoise. Each piece varies slightly, since the stone and metal settle differently as the resin cures.
Why customers buy them
Orgonite comes from a theory developed by Wilhelm Reich in the 1930s, who proposed a life energy he called orgone, comparable to chi or prana. Modern makers combine resin with metal and crystal on the belief that this arrangement transforms surrounding energy. The theory sits outside mainstream science, but it has a committed following, and customers who buy orgonite usually know what they want and buy repeatedly. Many of them also collect tumbled stones which means combining both within a display would likely lead to customer adding it to their collection.
Who should stock them
- Crystal retailers whose customers ask for orgonite by name
- Spiritual shops wanting a higher value display piece
- Gift stores looking for something striking that drives interest
- Retailers building out the full orgonite collection or range
Display and pairing
A sphere works as the centre of a crystal grid with smaller stones arranged around it. Retailers who stock spheres alongside orgonite pyramids tend to sell both, since both shapes appeal to the same customer at different price points.
