Incense Grains Myrrhe Siftings 1 kg

Description
Myrrh siftings are the smarter buy for any shop that moves real volume. Same resin as the whole tears, smaller pieces, significantly better price per gram. The 1kg pack is built for the customer who actually burns myrrh not the one who admires it in the jar.
About the Myrrh
Myrrh is the bitter resin of Commiphora myrrha harvested in the Horn of Africa and the Arabian peninsula by tapping the bark and letting the sap weep into hardened drops. The siftings are what falls through the screens during sorting: the smaller fragments and broken pieces. Chemically and aromatically identical to the whole tears, just less photogenic in the jar. Sizes vary, generally under 10mm.
What it's used for
- Catholic and Orthodox liturgy, the myrrh of the Three Kings tradition and the resin of anointing
- Healing ritual, the "physician's resin" with thousands of years of medicinal and energetic association
- Grief, funerary and memorial work the traditional resin for thresholds and transitions
- Protection and banishing, where the deeper more bitter resins do the work better than sweeter blends
- Custom blending, mixed with frankincense, copal or florals to build personal formulas
A note on burning
Slow burn, dense smoke. Bitter and earthy in the first minute, settling into a warm balsamic depth as the resin works through. The smaller pieces light a touch faster than whole tears which most practitioners who use myrrh regularly actually prefer.
Pairs well with
- Charcoal tablets in bulk format
- Olibanum tears or olibanum siftings, the classical pairing and a natural cross-sell
- Whole myrrh tears for customers who want both grades on hand
